Andrey Mashinyan
Andrey Mashinyan is the Director of the Irish Cultural Centre at St. Petersburg State University and organizer of the Annual Bloomsday conference. Andrey’s research interests include Irish history and mythology, Irish Celtic Revival and Russian Silver Age connections, W.B. Yeats and James Joyce. Since his PhD on “Mythological poetics of W.B. Yeats” he published two books of translations, one with selections from the work of W.B. Yeats, the other of Joyce. Andrey is a member of the International Yeats Society and curator of the annual festivals of Irish-Russian Culture in St. Petersburg, Dublin and Cork.
