Gerold Sedlmayr is Professor of British Cultural Studies at TU Dortmund University. He is author of the monographs Brendan Kennelly's Literary Works: The Developing Art of an Irish Writer, 1959-2000 (2005) and The Discourse of Madness in Britain, 1790-1815: Medicine, Politics, Literature (2011), as well as co-editor, with Nicole Waller, of Politics in Fantasy Media: Essays on Ideology and Gender in Fiction, Film, Television and Games (2014).

Katharina Rennhak is Professor for English Literature at the University of Wuppertal. She is the author of a monograph on concepts of language in postmodernist historical novels (Sprachkonzeptionen im historischen Roman, Fink: 2002) and a monograph on cross-gender narratives and the construction of masculinity in novels by British and Irish women writers around 1800 (Narratives Cross-Gendering, wvt: 2013).

Ondřej Pilný is Associate Professor of English and Director of the Centre for Irish Studies at Charles University, Prague. His publications include Irony and Identity in Modern Irish Drama (2006), a critical edition of J.M. Synge’s works in Czech translation (2006) and seven edited collections of essays. He has translated plays by J.M. Synge, Brian Friel, Martin McDonagh and Enda Walsh, and Flann O’Brien’s The Third Policeman.

Laura P. Z. Izarra is Associate Professor of Literatures in English at the University of São Paulo, Coordinator of W.B.Yeats Chair of Irish Studies and Chair of the Brazilian Association of Irish Studies (ABEI).

Margaret Mills Harper got her first degree summa cum laude from Florida State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After teaching at Ohio State University she became Professor in English and Women's Studies at Georgia State University (1989-2010). Since she is Glucksman Professor in Contemporary Writing in English at the University of Limerick, serving a semester as Visiting Professor at the Université de Lille 3 in 2015. She is the Director of the Yeats International Summer School and the President of the International Yeats Society.

Athina Dimitriadou was born in Athens. She graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Athens (1980). She taught Modern Greek Literature and History in various Greek high schools (1982-2000). She holds the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (1969). She has been translating literature since 1982. Among others, she has translated John Updike, Toni Morrison, Mark Twain, Evelyn Waugh, Richard Ford, J. M. Coetzee, Samuel Beckett, Herman Melville, Philip Roth, Colm Toibin.

Dr Asier Altuna is chairperson of AEDEI (Spanish Association for Irish Studies), a full-time lecturer in English at the University of Deusto, Bilbao and director of the Erasmus Mundus Master of Arts in Euroculture. Basque Government postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Irish Studies NUI Galway, Ireland and Deusto University 2003-8. Visiting lecturer at UNAM, Mexico, Pune University, India, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman and Nizwa University Oman.
