Katharina Rennhak is Professor for English Literature at the University of Wuppertal. She is the author of a monograph on concepts of language in postmodernist historical novels (Sprachkonzeptionen im historischen Roman, Fink: 2002) and a monograph on cross-gender narratives and the construction of masculinity in novels by British and Irish women writers around 1800 (Narratives Cross-Gendering, wvt: 2013). She is currently preparing a collection of articles Narrating Ireland in Different Genres and Media (wvt: 2016) and writing a monograph about the work of Sebastian Barry. Among the many courses she taught in the English Department at LMU Munich was a seminar entitled “Translation oriented analyses of literary texts” (winter 2004/05 and summer 2009).
