Valeria Strusi
Valeria Strusi was born in Sassari, Sardinia in 1992. She attended the Liceo Ginnasio Statale D.A. Azuni, a secondary school for the study of the Classics and Humanities. While a student there, she took part in the EU-funded LLP ‘Leonardo’ Programme and she had the opportunity to live and work in a photography studio for five weeks in Dublin, Ireland. Upon completion of high school in 2011, she enrolled for an undergraduate course in Cultural and Linguistic Mediation at the Università degli Studi in Sassari where she graduated with distinction in July 2014 with a dissertation on two contemporary stage adaptations of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando. She is currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Euro-American Languages and Literatures, focusing on English and American Literatures, at the Università degli Studi in Pisa. Her love for literature and poetry is what she intends to pursue, hopefully to make her career in the field. As well as having a keen interest in literature she has a great passion for writing and photography. At present, she runs a creative writing blog and this allows her to practice and improve her craft.
