Stefania Gandin
Stefania Gandin: lecturer in English Linguistics and Translation at the University of Sassari (Italy). She graduated at the same university in 2004, discussing a dissertation on a linguistic analysis about the Northern Irish murals. She holds an MA in Translation Studies, awarded with merit by the university of Manchester in 2007. Since 2008, she has been working at the University of Sassari first as research assistant and then as junior lecturer in English Language and Translation, focusing her main research interests on English linguistics, Translation studies and ESP (legal, scientific, technical and tourism discourse). She took part in several national and international conferences, publishing numerous articles on several linguistics and translation-related themes, such as the application of corpus linguistics to translation studies, the ethics of translation, the role of translation in national and international literature, tourism discourse and in the perception of regional culture .
