Sintija Culjat

Sintija Čuljat is a senior lector in the Department of English of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka. She is the author of articles focusing on literatures in contact, intertextuality, literary translation, and the reception of Victorian literature. She has held academic courses on literary translation, and translated poetry from English into Croatian and vice versa. Her book Poetika prostora: Kovačić, Novak, Hardy (Zagreb: Hrvatsko filološko društvo, 2012) exploits the meaning of fictional space in the prose of the given nineteenth-century Croatian and English novelists.
